Nature trail hike

On our Puustila farm in Ilomantsi, sheep cultivate the traditional hilly landscape. We offer guided nature walks across the meadows, where you can learn more about nature, slash-and-burn forests, the care of the traditional environment, the sheep and the hilly landscape.

During the hike we stop at a campfire in the shelter of the forest, to drink coffee or tea brewed on an open fire. Along with the hot drinks, we serve a savoury snack and something sweet. In the end, we show the guests the products that are derived from the sheep.
